How can I serve?

Sunday School:

Pastor Dail often refers to the Sunday School as the foundation ministry of LBC. At the present we operate 30 classes. We have classes for all ages including six adult classes. The adult classes meet in the Main Auditorium at 10 A.M. for a brief opening assembly, and then dismiss to the various classes. In each class we teach a Bible lesson designed to prepare each class member for the will of God and the daily responsibilities of life.

Bus:

The bus ministry gives our church the opportunity to get the Gospel to scores of people, and then provides front door to church service for those needing transportation. We are currently operating seven bus routes: four routes in Pontiac, and one route in Clarkston, Waterford, and White Lake respectively. Each route has a captain, driver, secretary, and other workers to assist in a safe travel experience to and from church.

Soulwinning:

We believe The Great Commission is the mission of the Church. We have several organized soulwinning ministries to help our people fulfill this mission. On Tuesday morning at 10:45am we have ladies soulwinning, and our teens meet on Wednesday after school at 3:10pm. Church-wide soulwinning meets on Thursdays at 6:45pm and is open to all, and our bus workers and others meet on Saturday mornings at 10:00. Each ministry has a brief training and challenge time. Also, we have several services in Nursing homes on Thursday Night, and once a month we hold services in the Oakland County Jail.

Primetimers:

The primetimers is an adult ministry for those 50 years of age and older. Several trips are planned each year, and projects are done periodically at the church. The Lord has provided a comfortable coach tour bus for travel.

Teen:

Our teens are very active, and have many opportunities for service and fellowship. In addition to teen soulwinning, the teens have weekly activities, teen choir, summer camp, and many areas to serve the Lord.

Children:

Adding to the many Sunday school classes available, we offer junior churches, Wednesday night clubs, summer camps, and a Christmas program.

Deaf:

All of our church services are interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing using the A.S.L.

Music:

We sing traditional hymns and Gospel songs in our services. The adult choir is the hub of our music ministry. We have several soloists, and many other singing groups.

Adult Activities:

The adults have many opportunities for fellowship.  These include: class activities, picnics, ladies’ volleyball, men’s basketball and softball, couples retreat, after service fellowships, and ladies missionary groups.

Giving:

We are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fulfilling the Great Commission.  Our church is operated with the free-will tithes and offering of God’s faithful people.  You may give in the offering at any of our services, or you may drop off your offering during any service.  We will also give you the option to give online.
